Max Mara, Etro, Fendi, and Valentino are among more than 20 brands that host physical shows at locations around Milan, making up more than a third of the week’s schedule.

“I know this is the Happily miserable julian edelman barrie shirt besides I will buy this backwards way to put on your makeup, but it works for me,” Braxton confesses, as she smooths Bobbi Brown’s contour stick across her face and over her mouth, before brushing on NARS’s creamy concealer, a bright orange blush, and powder to bake it all in. Here, the “Queen of R&B” pauses to reflect on her epic three-decade career, which kicked off in 1993 with the release of her debut album. “The 90s was everything! It was fresh, it was about music, it was about big budget videos, it was about being an artist, and being as grand and big as you could be…” she recalls with a smile. “It was just the best decade to be an entertainer of all time… Everything was glamourous.” Of course, in Braxton’s hands, next-level glamour still reigns. Unclipping her long waves, which she affectionately refers to as “Sam”—“I name all my wigs,” she reveals—she peers into the camera with freshly glossed lips: “I’m all ready for my close-up, Mr. DeMille.”

Nineties nostalgia is powerful, even if you were born in the Happily miserable julian edelman barrie shirt besides I will buy this 2000s. The pop supergroups of the era made a splash thanks to catchy hits and distinctive styles that continue to have influence. Case in point: when Chloe and Halle took to the virtual stage at last night’s GLAAD Awards, they did so while channeling the Spice Girls’s spirit. Though the Bailey sisters were barely toddlers during Spice mania’s height, they still managed to accurately honor the eccentric fashion the group was known for, thanks to stylist Zerina Akers. As a duo, they needed a little help to portray all five members, and assistance came in the form of glamorous drag queens, Naomi Smalls, Vanessa Vanjie, and Mayhem Miller. Each recreated a look from the Spice oeuvre: Halle was Mel B at the 1997 MTV Europe Music Awards in neon green python print and ribbon wrapped buns; Chloe took on the guise of Victoria Beckham at the same event, all slinky gold minidress and stiletto heels. Smalls captured the magic of Ginger Spice’s now-iconic Union Jack tea-towel dress at that year’s Brit awards, and Miller wore a barely-there blue babydoll-like Emma Bunton. In track pants and Kappa crop top, Vanije was appropriately sporty, rounding out the team with zig a zig ah.

All of the models on the show also debuted charmingly, having never been on the catwalk before.

“It was a really good challenge,” adds Ollivierre, who hand-assembled a variety of lashes, strand by strand, on 21 models, each with her own unique eye shape and skin tone—not to mention preferences. “It was almost like fitting clothing but on eyes, honestly,” Lyons says of the Chicago White Sox Respect postseason 2020 MBL shirt also I will do this painstaking process, which resulted in a lineup of 21 styles, ranging from dramatic doll-like sets to delicate wisps that arrive on biodegradable trays made from sugarcane pulp. Lyons notes that she wanted to provide a natural-looking option that could be worn “with almost no makeup at all.” Her own go-to chocolate-hued tips are subtle enough for her to pair with her signature red lip.

It made me so intimidated,” Lyons explains of her decision to show the good, the bad, and even the ugly. “It’s not always easy—especially the first time,” she concedes. To make the application process even more seamless, Lyons and Ollivierre have also masterminded an innovative gold handheld tool—a cross between an eyelash curler and tweezers—that’s due out later this year. “It’s made a huge difference,” says Lyons, who proudly admits that she can now even apply the pesky fibers herself. Consider it proof that good things come to those who wait.

“I believe makeup should be [an accessory] to complement what’s beautiful about you,” says Gomez, who hopes her new beauty line will empower her fans to embrace their individuality. “I just think that you’re special, you’re supposed to be who you are,” she adds. “I’ve met thousands of people in my life and I wish that they can see what I see them.” Fans of Armando Iannucci’s fiercely excoriating brand of satiric comedy (The Death of Stalin, Veep, In the Halloween horror characters we used to smile and then we orked wat michaels where creativity happens shirt and I love this Loop) will approach his new film, The Personal History of David Copperfield, as one might a prizefight—expecting the jokes to land like blows. But the most surprising thing about this adaptation of Charles Dickens’s beloved doorstop of a novel, which has been released in theaters (in places where theaters have reopened), is how gentle it is, how winningly heartfelt. In an act of color-blind casting that suits Ianucci’s subtlety modern retelling, Dev Patel plays the titular character, who endures fortune and misfortune in Victorian England with wide-eyed aplomb. Ianucci’s movie bursts with energy—and with scene-stealing British acting. Here is Tilda Swinton as batty Betsey Trotwood; there is Ben Whishaw as villainous Uriah Heep; Morfydd Clark plays Copperfield’s mother and his dog-loving wife, Dora Spenlow; we have turns from Darren Boyd, Gwendolyn Christie, Hugh Laurie, Peter Capaldi…the film, like its source material, is a maximalist delight. —Taylor Antrim

The instantly absorbing and actually scary Host, from British filmmaker Rob Savage, is exactly what these strange times demand: a Zoom horror movie. Released last month exclusively on the Halloween horror characters we used to smile and then we orked wat michaels where creativity happens shirt and I love this streaming service Shudder (and well worth signing up for the free trial to see), Host depicts a séance conducted by six friends on COVID-19 lockdown who try to summon the spirits via Zoom. Quickly things go bump and boo and then bloody in the tiny squares of their grid. The entire film (only 57 minutes!) is seen through the Zoom interface and is appealingly naturalistic, with effective scares, and yes, it’s derivative (paying homage to movies like The Blair Witch Project and 2014’s Unfriended), but I guarantee this is the most gripping, diverting hour you’ll spend on Zoom this year. By now you’ve probably heard about the HBO documentary on NXIVM, the bizarre self-help organization that made headlines following the arrest of founder Keith Raniere for sex trafficking, racketeering, and other charges in 2018. Those headlines screamed “sex cult” and led with salacious details of attractive, seemingly successful female NXIVM members branded with Raniere’s initials and submitting to sex rituals. The Vow, directed by Jehane Noujaim and Karim Amer, unpacks many of these stories and introduces you to people involved who left NXIVM and led an effort to expose it. It also paints a nuanced picture of what went down inside the organization, which at one time had thriving branches around North and South America (and counted Allison Mack, of TV’s Smallville, and Seagram heiress Clare Bronfman, as committed members, both of whom have plead guilty to charges stemming from their involvement). Was the branding and the sex coercive? Who exactly was exploited and what made the preeningly nerdy Raniere such a magnetic leader? With nine hour-long episodes, two of which have already aired, The Vow is one of those sprawling, fascinating, and definitely overstuffed documentaries that have come to define the streaming wars era (Tiger King, The Last Dance, The Devil Next Door, Wild Wild Country). My wife and I have gorged on press screeners HBO sent, watching ahead all the way to episode eight and our reaction has been equal parts rapt attention and total frustration. NXIVM is certainly a case study in the dark side of self-improvement, and The Vow reveals Raniere to be a narcissistic bullshit artist of the highest order, adept at exploiting insecurities and seemingly rapacious in his sexual needs. But eight hours in, I’m still not completely sure I have the full picture of what this “cult” was up to or what crimes were committed or why so many people were swept up for so long. Perhaps all will be revealed in the finale—due to air on October 18—and I will definitely be watching. —TA

Like out-of-water fashion, keeping sustainability in mind is also key. “Being in the Top shirts on Teestoro on 2020/09/29 so you should to go to store and get this ocean makes you extra aware of the importance of sustainability,” Mohammadi tells me. “I love the brand Ansea for my swim- and wetsuits, they’re stylish and made of sustainable fabrics that do not budge.” But being thoughtful of the environment doesn’t stop there: Kim uses a biodegradable and reef-safe sunscreen from Alba Botanicals for sun protection while in the water, and uses a “safer” surf wax on her board by Australian-based brand Goodsurfwax, which is made from beeswax and coconut oil instead of a gnarly petrochemical base.

In his music, Frank Sinatra sustained and stretched his lyrics, drawing out a word as though he was simmering them over his jazzy melodies. His career would have a similar endurance—lasting a remarkable half of a century with highs, lows, a few comebacks, and a couple of farewells. The story of his life and legacy is told in Frank Sinatra: All or Nothing at All, which was first released in 2015 on HBO as a four-hour, two-part documentary. Directed by Alex Gibney, it made its Netflix debut this summer. Watch for footage of a waifish young Sinatra in his hometown of Hoboken, New Jersey, memories from his long list of glamorous lovers (Nancy Sinatra, Ava Gardner, Mia Farrow, and even Lauren Bacall), a look at his less savory associations with mobster Sam Giancana, and his friendships with the Gremlins friends shirt Besides,I will do this Kennedys (Sinatra even built JFK a room at his home in Palm Springs, California). The documentary unfolds like an autobiographical discography of his work—each song tells of a moment in his life—and a viewing will have you singing Sinatra for days after. When the aliens descend and try to make sense of what the humanoids were thinking during this dark chapter of our recent history, I truly believe that Jordan Firstman will be their most effective guide. The filmmaker, actor, and writer has become a pandemic hero to many, capturing the unbelievable-and-yet-it’s-happening horror of our recent reality through his “impressions,” which are more like Dada theater delivered in hysterical bite-size Instagram postings than anything normally animating your social media feed. See, for example, his interpretation of “the coder who is responsible for the simulation we are living in in 2020” or someone “addicted to say that quarantine isn’t that different from his normal life.” (Remember that? Still feel that way six brutal months in, buddy?) The pandemic has exploded mediums: Plays are being staged on on Zoom; the New York Philharmonic is cruising the city in a pickup truck—and never have I been so content to abandon any my preconceptions about where entertainment should reside as when I’m watching Firstman. He’s an entertainer of the first order, no matter how you’re watching him. —Chloe Schama

Top shirts on Rabbitstee on 2020/09/29

Citing some personal favorite looks from season 12, Zaldy references a red and black vinyl number from episode seven. “It’s like new and old RuPaul,” Zaldy says. “I’ve seen Dominatrix-type looks on RuPaul in the Top shirts on Rabbitstee on 2020/09/29 Besides,I will do this past, in the ’90s, but this was done in a different way, with ruffles and black vinyl on the back.” Another personal favorite of his was the pink, one-shouldered dress from episode one. “I loved Ru’s super long legs against that little hot pink sequin number.” While each episode has a runway theme that the competing queens must adhere to, dressing to the theme is not something Zaldy and RuPaul typically do. “Ru doesn’t have to adhere to any kind of rules,” Zaldy says. But occasionally, the duo will have fun with it. In episode three, the runway was bathing suit-themed, and Zaldy dressed Ru in a snakeskin one-piece. “For eight seasons, we never even showed RuPaul’s legs,” Zaldy says. “It was like a mini revolution.”

Get a fabric tape measure if you don’t already have one: Women’s sizes make no sense. Depending on what I’m buying, I wear anything from a Medium to an XL, a 6 to a 12…. don’t try to make sense of women’s sizes, they don’t make sense to begin with. Expect to have problems with BS that looks like this: Go thrifting: Thrift stores are your best friend. Your body will change a great deal in your first year or so of transition. Don’t spend a ton on clothes when you’re getting started. Out of everything that I bought when I started my transition the only thing I still wear are some of the camis I picked up and a handful of shirts (maybe 3?) Virtually nothing else fits.

There are so many stores available of course, and a lot depends on your location, budget, style, etc. For make up, I would suggest finding a simple makeup tutorial on youtube, there are so many to choose from. The creators usually state what products they are using, and often where they got them, as well as show proper application techniques. You could also (if you’re comfortable) visit a department store like Macy’s and head to the Halloween horror characters we used to smile and then we orked wat michaels where creativity happens shirt it is in the first place but makeup section. They usually are sorted by brand. You could look for an area that has a chair for makeovers and ask the person working that section for one. Afterwards, they will try to sell you the products they used. If there’s a Sephora or other makeup store in your area, the associates there would also be able to help you. You could also just try picking up a few things from the drug store (foundation, eyeliner, eyeshadow, subtle lipstick, and mascara would be the basics). Be warned that cheap makeup is cheap for a reason. Don’t go outrageous, but be prepared to shell out a bit, at least to get started. You’ll also need a set of brushes for application OF foundation and eyeshadow. A word of caution: stay away from brightly colored eyeshadow unless you become very good at it. Stick to more neutal tans, browns, Etc. Also, top eyeliner is hard, especially wings. It will take a while to master that, getting them even is the hardest part. Do not become discouraged if you can’t get it right away, same with the rest of it. It’s a skill that takes time to master, like everything else.
