I went to an allergy and asthma doctor due to Happy St. Patrick’s Day it takes more than luck shirt crazy rash I had on my back. I thought I was allergic to my bridesmaid dress. When the doctor and his assistant came in and I lowered my shirt the doctor said eww. I played it off like everything was ok while the assistant looked in disappointment but it really hurt my feelings. I felt like a Leppard since it was little brownish spots on ny back and the doctor who I assumed seen so many other patients made me feel like I was the worst of them all. If anyone is curious I went to a dermatologist the next month (earliest appointment they had) and it ended up being some type of dermatitis and it did spread within that month. Basically eczema but more define to make so many circles on my body. The dermatologist gave me a steriod shot and I was fine.
But that allergy doctor made me feel so low and his facial expressions throughout the visit was so degrading. I went to the ER of the hospital closest to my home for my first drop seizure and was told by the charge nurses that I was probably just ‘too high on marijuana’ and left in a wheelchair in the ambulance loading bay (not even the hospital waiting area) for six hours before simply walking out. The next two hours I was questioned and had my tongue/cheeks/veins checked to establish whether or not I was a junkie lying about my pain to get some more opiates. One nurse walked up to my treating doctor immediately outside of the bed I was in and asked, at what I’m certain was well above her normal speaking volume, “Is this the one with the abortion?” (I was not, but I can’t even imagine how hurtful that might have been for whoever she was talking about.
